Worth the Wait is a straight-ahead jazz trio album that proves Mark is at home in every genre of music both as a composer and as a pianist.  Throughout this recording Mark is improvising with focused confidence; spinning energetic and beautiful lines with complete freedom over jazz forms that are among the finest in modern jazz composing.  Two alternate takes of the title track, featuring completely different improvised solos from the pianist, bear witness to Mark’s ability to truly create spontaneously.
